Position Title: Quarry Manager

Department: Quarry

Location: Athens, AL

Essential Job Functions:

Develop and execute strategic plans for quarry operations to meet production goals and business objectives.Oversee daily operations including drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing, and material handling.Monitor and optimize operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costsEnsure that all operations comply with safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.Ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.Implement and enforce safety procedures, conduct regular safety audits, and lead safety training programs.Implement quality control procedures to ensure that extracted and processed materials meet industry standards and customer specifications.Monitor financial performance, track production costs, and implement cost-control measures.Maintain a high level of quality work at all timesMaintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all timesAid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shiftFollow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasksPerform other duties as assignedRepresent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quarry operations or mining, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Extensive knowledge of quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, excavation, and material processing.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to work in a quarry environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying materials, as well as climbing and inspecting equipment.Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 poundsKnowledge of OSHA StandardsAbility to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not requiredRequires personal transportation to job sitesWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as requiredWork weekends and overtime as neededCommitted to attending work each dayAble to pass a pre-employment drug screen
