GENERAL LABOR in Warren, Michigan at HirePower Staffing

We are looking for a dependable and motivated General Laborer to join our client's manufacturing team! This is a hands on position, that is in a busy shop environment. This is an ideal position for a candidate who is enjoys working with their hands, is wiling to learn new skills, and is comfortable with taking on a variety of tasks.

Shift Time: 6 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday, Friday's as needed 6 am - 12 pm (noon).

Pay Rate: $18/hr

* Must be able to pass a drug test and background check*

Job description:

• Preform general labor and material handling duties, such as but not limited too: lifting, bending, sanding.
• Operate a HiLo/Forklift, and/or small overhead crane to move materials and products within the workspace or warehouse.
• Load, unload, stage and organize materials.
• Assist employees and/or management with various production and shop task as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Learn new equipment, processes within the warehouse and responsibilities.
• Lift, pushing, pulling up too 55 lbs throughout the shift. This may be assisted with other employees or various tools.

Qualifications:

• Must have minimum 2 years of experience within a manufacturing and/or shop environment.
• Must have minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience with a HiLo/Forklift.
• Previous HiLo certification is a plus, but not required.
• Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
