TIG Welder & Fabrication Specialist (Aluminum / Stainless Steel)
Location: Hanover, PA
Shift: First Shift | Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and extended hours as needed
Compensation: Starting at $24/hour+ (based on experience)
Position Overview
A production-focused fabrication environment is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to support the build of custom aluminum and stainless-steel components. This role combines precision welding with hands-on fabrication, including fitting, assembly, and blueprint interpretation.
The position is ideal for individuals who take pride in clean welds, accurate fabrication, and delivering high-quality finished products in a fast-paced shop setting.
Primary ResponsibilitiesWelding & Fabrication Work
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel, producing consistent, high-quality welds
- Fabricate and assemble custom components such as frames, railings, and specialty structures
- Measure, position, and fit materials prior to welding operations
- Inspect completed work to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications
Blueprint Interpretation & Shop Tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, and related tools
- Identify and resolve fit-up, alignment, or welding challenges during production
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area
Material Handling & Safety
- Move materials using pallet jacks or other appropriate equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and fabrication best practices
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Adapt to shifting production priorities and workloads
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel
- Ability to accurately read blueprints and measurements
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations
- Ability to troubleshoot welding or fabrication issues independently
- Comfortable working in a production-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively
- Problem-solving mindset with sound judgment
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Repetitive hand and arm movements
- Strong visual focus for precision welding and fabrication tasks
