OVERVIEW OF POSITION

Our dream Sr. Creative Strategist is a confident storyteller, skilled at identifying brand challenges and using creative brand narratives, insightful positioning and innovative experiential ideas to create best-in-class programs for our clients. This person is a true collaborator, working efficiently and clearly with cross-functional creative, production and account management project teams. The Sr. Creative Strategist is tapped into culture, is social media-inclined and is comfortable translating both qualitative and quantitative research into big ideas.

Within Episode.1, this role will work across all types of industries, including spirits, sports and retail and others. It is important that this role is able to implement experiential, brand and creative strategies across many different interest verticals and clients.

This role will report into the Director of Strategy.

SR. STRATEGIST RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop overarching strategies for experiential programs, campaigns and consumer experiences that connect brands and consumers in a more meaningful way.
  • Set overall program strategy and vision for each program, while staying involved throughout the course of a program to ensure all goals and objectives are met
  • Create and present experiential strategy to clients
  • Lead new business pitches and RFP responses for future clients
  • Work with broader Episode.1 team to set a high standard for strategic thinking
  • Manage freelance and junior strategists as needed
  • Oversee all program messaging for each program
  • Work with leadership to oversee the development and strategic positioning of the Episode.1 brand.
  • Create a culture where strategy serves as the foundation for each program and delivers best-in-class results
  • Work with Episode.1 leadership team to support overall agency growth and maximize efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-7+ years of strategy experience managing experiential marketing programs–overseeing projects from concept to development and through execution
  • Self-directed and able to independently lead strategic development across projects
  • Strong ability to develop innovating creative ideas and strategies
  • Experience building and resourcing strategy teams
  • Must have great time management skills and a sense of urgency of all projects
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive presence–developing new business pitches and strategy presentations
  • Ability to lead project and be a decisive decision maker
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to strive in a fast paced environment
  • Daily use of Microsoft Word / Excel / Power Point, along with Google Docs and Keynote, along with other creative platforms as needed
  • Ability to travel (a minimum of 15%) and work non-traditional hours based on program schedules
