About the Role:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting the nursing staff. CNAs are responsible for monitoring patients' health status, reporting changes to the nursing team, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a CNA in a hospital, nursing home, or long-term care facility.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as geriatrics or hospice care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately.
- Observe and report any changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff promptly.
- Help patients move safely, including transferring them between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and facility guidelines.
- Support patients emotionally by providing companionship and responding to their needs with empathy and respect.
- Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as directed.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.
