Associate Attorney - Legal and Compliance in Plano, Texas at A First Name Basis

The Associate Attorney, Compliance supports regulatory compliance efforts by advising on applicable healthcare and regulatory laws, assisting with internal audits and investigations, drafting compliance-related policies, and collaborating with operational teams to mitigate legal and regulatory risk. Additionally, this role will collaborate with outside counsel in support of active and/or potential litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with active and potential litigation
• Support internal auditing functions
• Assist with diligence new acquisitions
• Collaborate with team on compliance
• Risk assessment and management
• Other duties as needed

• Actively licensed attorney in one of our service states (AR, MS, LA, SC) and/or corp state (TX) preferred.
• 3-5+ yrs of relevant legal experience in compliance, regulatory, healthcare, corporate, employment, or government practice (law firm or in-house)
• Experience supporting compliance programs, audits, or investigations preferred
• Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services, insurance, government contracting) strongly preferred
