Responsibilities
The Dockworker, Warehouse Maintenance and Sanitation will assist with ensuring that logistics facilities remain safe, clean, and compliant with regulations. Core duties include sweeping and scrubbing floors, sanitizing break areas and restrooms, managing waste, and performing minor facility repairs. This role is vital for preventing accidents and ensuring smooth daily operations.

- Sweep, mop, and scrub warehouse floors, aisles, and loading docks.
- Safely operate industrial cleaning equipment like ride-on floor scrubbers and sweepers.
- Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces such as break rooms and restrooms.
- Empty trash, clean recycling bins, and operate cardboard balers and trash compactors.
- Quickly respond to spills, clean damaged product areas, and remove debris to prevent slip-and-fall accidents.
- Power wash or sweep dock plates, levelers, and exterior entryways.
- Maintain and monitor battery charging stations, including watering and basic upkeep.
- Follow the company’s Master Sanitation Program (MSP) and adhere to OSHA and health guidelines.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Required to operate warehouse machinery like forklifts, scissor lifts, or heavy-duty floor scrubbers once authorized.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and basic warehouse tools as needed.
- Ability to follow sanitation schedules, checklists, and safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety, PPE use, and hazard prevention.
- Ability to identify and report maintenance or sanitation issues promptly.
- Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
- Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
- Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.
- Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
