Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Overtime Available
- 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Overtime Available
- 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Overtime Available

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Winsted, CT. In this role, you will independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components that meet tight tolerances and strict quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong CNC setup experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with the ability to machine small, complex components from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other specialty alloys.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (2-axis through 5-axis and multi-axis equipment)
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, collets, chucks, and machine offsets
- Produce precision-machined components to tight aerospace tolerances
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools
- Make offset adjustments and minor program edits to maintain quality and accuracy
- Monitor tool wear and machining conditions for efficiency and consistency
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and programming issues
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 aerospace quality standards
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
What You Bring
- 3+ years CNC machining experience (setup and operation required)
- Multi-axis CNC experience (2, 3, 4, and 5-axis preferred)
- Aerospace or high-precision machining background strongly preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience holding tight tolerances (±0.0005” or better preferred)
- Skilled with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and inspection tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
