Frank Beverage Group in Middleton, WI is now hiring a 1st Shift Warehouse Lead - Liquor Operations. The team members of Frank Beverage Group are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers.

The Warehouse Lead - Liquor Operations provides operational leadership for liquor picking, replenishment, inventory control, staging, and returns processing on first shift. This role ensures pick modules are stocked, organized, and accurate, verifies order and staging integrity, and supports a smooth transition between first and third shift operations. While not responsible for administrative supervision, this position leads by example and supports daily operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and floor support for liquor picking operations, serving as a resource for Warehouse Associates and helping maintain productivity, quality, and workflow continuity.
  • Conduct quality control checks on picked orders, verify pallet and load accuracy, identify and correct picking errors, and communicate discrepancies to leadership as needed.
  • Oversee replenishment activities to ensure pick modules remain fully stocked and organized, while verifying all inventory movements are completed accurately within the warehouse management system.
  • Support inventory accuracy by monitoring product consolidation, assisting with cycle count investigations, processing returned product, and coordinating inventory adjustments for damaged or broken goods.
  • Ensure pallets are accurately labeled, properly staged, securely loaded, and assigned to the correct routes, trucks, and loading configurations to support efficient delivery operations.
  • Maintain organized pick and backstock areas through proper product rotation, labeling, housekeeping, and removal of pallets, shrink wrap, and debris.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely, complete required inspections, and promote a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and internal departments to address operational issues, support first-shift readiness, and ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting responsibilities across warehouse departments as business needs require.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Strong knowledge of liquor picking operations, replenishment processes, and pick module management.
  2. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy and quality standards.
  3. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  4. Ability to identify and resolve staging, loading, inventory, and operational discrepancies.
  5. Ability to lead by example, support team members, and maintain productivity standards.
  6. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
  2. Previous experience in liquor picking, warehouse distribution, or related operations required.
  3. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification required.
  4. Prior lead, trainer, or cross-functional warehouse experience preferred.
