Kubernetes Platform Architect in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Kubernetes Platform Architect based in India.

This role is a high-impact, customer-facing technical position focused on enabling enterprise adoption of modern cloud-native platforms.
You will work at the intersection of Kubernetes, VMware Cloud Foundation, and enterprise architecture, helping organizations modernize their application landscapes.
The position involves deep technical engagement with customers through architecture design, workshops, and proof-of-concept implementations.
You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex infrastructure requirements into scalable, secure, and production-ready Kubernetes solutions.
The role requires close collaboration with sales, engineering, and product teams to shape customer success and influence platform evolution.
It is a highly dynamic environment where technical leadership, communication, and solution design directly drive enterprise transformation outcomes.
You will also contribute to building reusable architectures and best practices that accelerate adoption at scale.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them through design, validation, and deployment of Kubernetes-based solutions on VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and proof-of-concepts to validate architectures and demonstrate measurable business and technical value.
• Collaborate with sales and field teams to align solution architecture with customer priorities and support successful deal progression.
• Design and recommend scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures, including DevOps and CI/CD integration.
• Develop reference architectures, deployment patterns, and technical assets to accelerate customer adoption and standardize best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on enterprise requirements such as scalability, disaster recovery, security, and operational excellence.
• Gather and communicate field feedback to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap direction and platform improvements.

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, application engineering, cloud platforms, or technical pre-sales/solutions architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, containerized environments, and VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, vSAN, NSX).
• Proven experience working directly with enterprise customers to design and deliver complex technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of application modernization, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams.
• Ability to translate technical challenges into clear business value and outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Relevant certifications in Kubernetes or public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift) are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% when required.
