Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist (Bilingual)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist (Bilingual) based in Canada.

This role is a key quality-focused position within a specialized healthcare software environment, ensuring the reliability, usability, and compliance of a nephrology-focused electronic medical records platform. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate features, identify defects, and ensure that product releases meet both technical and regulatory standards. A strong emphasis is placed on bilingual quality assurance, including the review and validation of French Canadian localization to ensure accurate and user-friendly clinical workflows. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through testing, defect reporting, and release validation. It requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured, regulated environments and enjoys improving software quality through collaboration. This is a fully remote position offering meaningful impact in healthcare technology that supports clinicians and patient care.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases, test plans, and regression testing activities across clinical software releases.
  • Validate new features, bug fixes, integrations, and system updates to ensure functionality, usability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Review and verify French Canadian localization, ensuring terminology accuracy, linguistic consistency, and appropriate clinical usability.
  • Document defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, and actual outcomes while supporting resolution tracking.
  • Ensure full traceability between test cases and system requirements in line with ISO 13485 quality system standards.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and support teams to support release readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to QA process enhancements, improving test coverage, documentation standards, and overall product quality.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in both French Canadian and English (written and spoken), with strong ability to communicate technical and linguistic nuances.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or localization testing within software or regulated environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in workflows, language, and system behavior.
  • Experience working with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, or similar platforms.
  • Good understanding of structured QA processes, including test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently in remote teams.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems such as EMR/EHR, or regulated environments (e.g., ISO 13485, GDPR) is an asset.
  • Experience with API testing, database validation, or test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is considered a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience, estimated between CAD $76,500 and $93,500 annually (depending on location and qualifications).
  • Fully remote work within Canada, supporting flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to contribute to healthcare software that directly supports clinicians and patient care outcomes.
  • Exposure to regulated software development processes and industry-leading quality standards such as ISO 13485.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment working closely with product, development, and support teams.
  • Continuous learning opportunities within a specialized and mission-driven healthcare technology domain.
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture focused on equity, accessibility, and professional growth.
