Description:

We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our growing Early Support Team. Our Pediatric Physical Therapists are responsible for providing evaluation and therapeutic support services for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities. They provide coaching, consultation, counseling, and training services for caregivers of children enrolled. They are also an active part of our dynamic transdisciplinary team of therapists, educators, and family resources coordinators.

Pay and Benefits

  • This is a full-time, hybrid position with a starting salary range of $85,000 - $112,000 DOE, with a $4000 hiring bonus.
  • Role is expected to be 10% remote and 90% in-person, subject to change based on family and agency need

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate each child’s performance in all areas of development to determine eligibility for early support services.
  • Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Provide direct and indirect services to children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments.
  • Provide support and consultation for staff, parents, and care providers utilizing a coaching model.
  • Monitor ongoing developmental milestones in all areas of development including hearing and vision.
  • Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers.
  • Participate as a member of the transdisciplinary team including caregivers and professional staff.
  • Serve as a liaison with the medical and educational community on behalf of enrolled children and their parents/caregivers.
  • Demonstrate a caring, nonjudgmental attitude with every family.
  • Attend scheduled clinical and staff meetings and be an active participant in staff related activities.
  • Prepare written reports and chart notes as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide in-service trainings of staff, volunteers, and as requested by outside organizations as needed.
  • Support growth and outreach efforts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Valid PT license in state of Washington.
  • Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable automobile required.
  • Minimum one year of direct service experience with children and families.
  • Knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching; experience preferred.
  • Able to work at a center, in a family’s home, and in a variety of community settings.
  • Current criminal background check maintained for all employees.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Wonderland employees are mandated reporters of any suspected abuse or neglect of a child to DCYF (CPS) and/or law enforcement.
  • Commitment for all employees to work toward including trauma informed care practices in their daily work.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eligible to provide clinical supervision preferred but not required.
  • Prefer infant mental health, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing training/experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • WA-AIMH endorsement preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

This position serves the Shoreline School district. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in both an office environment and families’ homes. Must be able to participate in active floor time including sitting, standing, walking, and lift up to 50 pounds. When providing virtual supports, this position could be on a screen for up to 7 hours a day.
