Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Testing & Delivery Automation Engineer based in United States.
This role is a senior, hands-on technical position responsible for defining and scaling how testing is designed, automated, and embedded across the entire software delivery lifecycle.
You will shape the organization’s testing strategy end-to-end, ensuring quality is built into development rather than treated as a separate QA function.
The position combines deep technical engineering with platform thinking, enabling teams to adopt scalable, reliable, and modern test automation practices.
You will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to establish testing standards, frameworks, and CI/CD integration across systems.
A key focus of the role is driving the adoption of AI-assisted testing tools to improve speed, coverage, and efficiency in test creation and maintenance.
You will also act as a technical enabler, helping teams implement and evolve automated testing practices at scale.
This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building foundational quality systems.
- Define and own the organization-wide testing strategy, including standards, coverage models, and quality guardrails across API, service, and UI layers.
- Design and evolve the end-to-end test automation stack, selecting and optimizing tools such as Playwright, Karate, Pact, and Postman.
- Integrate testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated quality checks and deployment gating.
- Lead the adoption of AI-assisted testing tools to generate, maintain, and optimize test cases and improve debugging efficiency.
- Build scalable regression and smoke testing frameworks, ensuring reliability, coverage, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to improve test environments, data management, and system stability.
- Establish testing metrics and dashboards to track coverage, reliability, flakiness, and overall quality performance.
- Drive cross-team adoption of testing standards and best practices, acting as a central quality engineering leader.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or quality engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation across API, service, and UI testing layers.
- Proven ability to design and scale test automation frameworks and quality engineering systems.
- Deep understanding of modern testing tools such as Playwright, Karate, Postman, and contract testing frameworks.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
- Strong coding skills with the ability to write, review, and optimize test automation code.
- Experience defining testing strategies, coverage models, and quality standards across engineering teams.
- Proven ability to reduce test flakiness and improve long-term test reliability.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional Engineering and Product teams.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf) applied to testing workflows.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive alignment and adoption across teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving environments and building systems from the ground up.
- Competitive compensation package with base salary and performance bonus (around 10% annual target)
- Equity eligibility for qualifying roles
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
- Retirement savings and financial planning support
- Flexible PTO and paid holidays
- Remote-first work environment (U.S.-based, specific location restrictions may apply)
- Access to cutting-edge AI and engineering tools to enhance productivity and innovation
- Strong culture of ownership, autonomy, and technical impact.
