POSITION: Delivery Service Associate (non-exempt)
REPORTS TO: Delivery Service Team Leader

If you are an early bird and like to get your day started early, then this is for you. We are looking for a delivery service associate for our local bakery. You must be familiar with Phoenix and the surrounding area. You are home every night. Associates shall follow the Distribution Team Leader’s direction and fully embrace Capistrano’s Bakery Prime Directives and Statement of Values; coupled with the adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Associates perform duties as listed below and may include additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Review and verify maps and sheets daily for accuracy
• Check load against invoices to ensure product load count matches invoices
• Load truck in stop order to ensure stops are made in proper sequence
• Inspect vehicle daily prior to departure, document on the Inspection Sheet and report issues to the Team Leader timely
• Follow List and deliver products to customers according to each customer’s instructions
• Picks up empty trays and/or dollies from customer stops and record on tray/dolly tracking sheets
• At the conclusion of day; refuel truck, unload empty trays in designated area, and return documentation to office
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Be 18 years or older
• Possess basic math skills
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Possess good communication skills
• Work well with a team
• Able to follow written and verbal directions
• Possess a valid license and clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) – No special class required
• 1-3 year Commercial experience
• Ability to use 16‘ up to 24’ box truck
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to apply proper lifting, bending and stretching techniques
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be able to pass pre-placement drug screen & criminal background check
