POSITION TITLE & DESCRIPTION

The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing and coaching a team of Business Development Representatives. Responsible for identifying and developing targeted vertical markets including healthcare, industrial, commercial office, education, municipal, data center, and mission critical facilities. This position establishes a sales strategy, manages performance, and ensures the team is equipped to consistently meet or exceed sales revenue, gross margin, and customer acquisition targets through the management/development of the Business Development Team. Also responsible for maintaining customer relationships and identifying value-add opportunities. The Outside Sales Manager will create a culture of accountability, prospecting excellence, and consistent customer focus.

Success in this role is measured by team performance, pipeline growth, new customer acquisition, existing customer satisfaction, employee development and retention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead, coach, develop, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team of (10-22) sales professionals.

· Monitor individual & team sales goals, KPIs, and performance expectations including:

o Targeted revenue growth

o Maintenance agreement sales

o New customer acquisition

o Targeted pipeline growth

o First call conversion rate

o Share of wallet (projects, repairs, maintenance contracts)

o Employee retention

o CRM compliance

o Targeted gross margin/EBITDA performance

· Monitor and drive key sales funnel metrics including lead, opportunity, and proposal volume.

· Monitor and drive win rate, conversion rate, revenue generation and customer retention.

· Drive accountability through regular ride-alongs, pipeline review, and performance evaluations.

· Develop and execute vertical market & customer acquisition strategy.

· Develop, implement and continuously refine onboarding programs, sales training curriculum, and professional development to improve product knowledge, sales competencies, industry knowledge, and overall team performance.

· Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent.

· Partner with operations to ensure successful customer onboarding, retention, and overall satisfaction.

· Drive collaboration across siloed departments.

· Refine CRM processes and monitor data accuracy.

· Drive consistent customer experience across every stage of the sales process.

Requirements:

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· 6+ years of experience in sales or business development management

· Proficient negotiation skills

· Experience in CRM implementation and utilization

· Experience hiring & developing sales professionals

· Strong financial acumen

Preferred:

· Commercial HVAC, mechanical services, facility services, construction, or BB service industry preferred.

Office environment.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Compensation

$100,000 – $120,000
