Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Ft Worth, TX

Reports to: Director Of Operations

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the NCCO’s Fort Worth maintenance and reliability functions to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and leading a high performing maintenance organization that maximizes equipment reliability, supports production objectives, and fosters a culture of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.

The Maintenance Manager is accountable for maintenance planning and execution, asset reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, workforce development, contractor management, spare parts administration, capital improvement support, and effective utilization of maintenance resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:

Safety Leadership Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority and every employee is accountable for safe work practices Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, machine guarding, and environmental requirement Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and proactive risk reduction initiatives Promote employee participation in safety observations, audits, and continuous improvement activities Maintenance and Reliability Leadership Develop and execute the site’s maintenance and reliability strategy aligned with business objectives Lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and reliability Establish maintenance priorities based on business criticality, production requirements, and risk Ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work Lead root cause failure analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures Drive continuous improvement of equipment performance through reliability engineering principles Support capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, and lifecycle asset management Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies Identify and eliminate waste, reduce equipment losses, and improve maintenance efficiency Develop standardized maintenance procedures and best practices Utilize data and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and measure results Lead Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement initiatives that increase productivity and operational reliability Promote standard work, visual management, and disciplined execution across the maintenance organization People Leadership and Employee Engagement Build highly engaged, accountable, and skilled maintenance team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning Establish clear expectations, performance goals, and development plans for maintenance personnel Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely coaching and constructive feedback Promote cross-training to improve workforce flexibility and organizational resilience Recognize employee contributions and encourage participation in continuous improvement activities Develop succession plans for key maintenance positions Maintenance Planning and Asset Management Develop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules that balance preventive maintenance with production requirements Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history, and maintenance metrics Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule and continuously evaluate their effectiveness Establish equipment criticality and prioritize maintenance activities based on business risk Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available while managing inventory cost Technical Responsibilities Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment including: PLC – controlled systems Electrical systems (480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 12-48VDC) Process Controls Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Compressors, motors, gearboxes, VFDs Sensors, solenoids, automation systems Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Utilize diagnostic equipment, multimeters, HMIs, and software tools to troubleshoot equipment Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and technical service providers to resolve complex equipment issues Project and Budget Management Support capital improvement projects from planning through implementation Develop maintenance budgets and manage department spending Recommend equipment replacement or upgrades Performance Measurement – Monitor Maintenance Metrics Utilize performance data to identify improvement opportunities and communicate progress through regular reporting and visual management tools Develop and establish maintenance metrics that will drive the downtime/breakdown reduction

Education & Experience Requirement

 A High School Diploma or GED is required

In addition, we require one of the following:

An Associates or Higher degree 5+ years of progressive industrial maintenance experience 2+ years of experience Managing Maintenance Technicians 4+ years training in the military (e.g. electronics, maintenance, computers)

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory in a manufacturing environment Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, TPM, or Operational Excellence initiatives Experience deploying and/or using a CMMS platform

Must have:

Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation Understanding process controls, instrumentation, hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to read electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics AutoCAD experience is a plus Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong decision making and conflict resolution abilities Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable operations Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, and related software Ability to interact with contractors, vendors, property managers and utility companies Have a valid U.S driver’s license
