Agile Space Industries is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator onsite in Durango, CO. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound and outbound material movements to support manufacturing, engineering, and operational activities. This role ensures accurate receipt, inspection, storage, inventory transactions, packaging, and shipment of materials while maintaining compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator serves as a key liaison between suppliers, carriers, purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory teams to ensure materials are available when needed and shipments are delivered on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, components, equipment, and supplies.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, accuracy, and completeness.
- Process receipts and inventory transactions within ERP or inventory management systems.
- Coordinate the storage and organization of materials to maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Prepare, package, and ship outbound materials, products, and equipment in accordance with customer, regulatory, and carrier requirements.
- Generate shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing documentation, and promptly notify the assigned Buyer and internal POC of receipt, discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality concerns.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with freight carriers and logistics providers.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
- Support inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate inventory variances.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, safety requirements, and material handling standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and receiving areas.
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams by ensuring timely movement of materials and hardware.
- Assist with process improvements related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Leveling Expectations:
Receiving Inventory Specialist III
- All qualifications above plus 2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or related field.
- Performs shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities independently with minimal supervision.
- Accurately processes incoming and outgoing materials while maintaining inventory integrity.
- Troubleshoots routine inventory discrepancies and shipping issues.
- Coordinates with purchasing, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve day-to-day material concerns.
- Assists with cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource for standard receiving and inventory processes.
Receiving Inventory Specialist IV
- All qualifications above plus 4-5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or related field.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations.
- Resolves complex inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and material transactions with minimal guidance.
- Coordinates high-priority or time-sensitive shipments, including domestic and international logistics.
- Identifies process improvements that increase inventory accuracy, efficiency, and material flow.
- Assists with training and mentoring new team members.
- Partners with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to improve warehouse and inventory processes.
- Supports inventory audits, compliance activities, and ERP transaction accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems.
- Experience with domestic and international shipping requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse best practices.
- Experience with hazardous materials shipping and receiving procedures.
The expected salary range:
Receiving Inventory Specialist III: $20.00-$30.00 hourly
Receiving Inventory Specialist IV: $25.000-$35.000 hourly
Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.
Physical Requirements
