NFI Accounts Payable Specialist in Quincy, Illinois at Niemann Foods

To record invoices and expenses generated at store level via computer data entry, support store personnel on accounting issues, correspond with vendors on related issues, and assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with departmental functions and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Entry and scanning/indexing of vendor invoices into accounting software
• Responsible for the invoicing side of a group of assigned stores
• Intake and distribution of store documents
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Clear communication with store team members and vendors
• Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with daily operations, reporting, reconciliations, special projects, and process improvements
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable Supervisor functions as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Or related experience and/or training;
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Proficiency with Office suite of products and familiarity with office equipment

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write correspondence and communicate appropriately with others.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates of the organization.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PAY RANGE (depends on industry experience)

$20 to $22/hour (IL Locations Only)
