Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to support the planning, implementation, training, and optimization of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and clinical applications across ambulatory specialty practices.

🕒 Shift: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Duties
- Support implementation, optimization, testing, and maintenance of EMR systems and clinical applications across ambulatory settings
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, providers, operational leadership, and IT to improve workflow integration and system use
- Analyze ambulatory workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, patient experience, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance
- Provide ongoing end-user support, troubleshooting, escalation, and workflow guidance for EMR and clinical systems
- Develop and deliver onboarding, training, and education for providers and staff on EMR systems, workflows, and operational processes
- Create and maintain training materials, workflow documentation, tip sheets, and support resources
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, validation, and go-live support for clinical technology initiatives
- Support practice-specific configuration changes, templates, and workflow optimization efforts
- Participate in quality improvement, operational readiness, and performance initiatives
- Assist with data collection, validation, reporting, and regulatory/quality compliance activities
- Provide onsite support during implementations, onboarding, and operational transitions
- Serve as a first-line resource for clinical systems and workflow questions
Benefits: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The hiring range is between $92,000 - $110,000 per year. Qualifications
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, required
- Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics, Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management, or related field, preferred
Experience
- Minimum 2 years supporting EMR systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare technology implementation, required
- 4–6 years of experience in ambulatory healthcare operations, required
Certification
- Active RN license in New York State, preferred
Skills
- Healthcare informatics, EMR/EHR systems, clinical applications, project management, or training certifications, preferred
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems, ambulatory workflows, and healthcare operations
- Ability to analyze workflows and recommend practical operational improvements
- Strong communication, teaching, and staff training capability
- Troubleshooting skills for clinical applications and workflow issues in real time
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and IT teams
- Change management and onboarding support experience
