Job Overview:
The Senior Patient Accounts Representative supports the reduction of Accounts Receivable. In this role, the candidate is expected to fulfill the role of mentor to both existing and newly hired members of their team while also performing a variety of duties including assisting patients directly with their bill or other financial aspects of their hospital service. He/she will be responsible for responding to correspondence, billing and rebilling, resolving denial issues and prompt handling of A/R credits and trend monitoring.
Qualifications:
Required:
- HS diploma
5 years in health care insurance billing or account follow up
Excellent knowledge of Patient Accounting processes and systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time, Hourly position– 37.5 hours a week
- Travel to Oceanport, NJ as needed

- Utilizes principles of CQI in all work situations.

- Adheres to budgetary guidelines and targets-proactively manages budget variances and causes.
- Determines priorities and organizes work and time to meet them.
- Follows sound employee retention techniques; effective selection and interviewing, recognition, fair and timely discipline, and ongoing performance feedback
- Interacts constructively, tactfully and diplomatically with others and resolves conflicts effectively
- Demonstrates cultural competency and ability to maintain a diverse workforce
- Performs other duties as assigned.
