JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager-Human Resources and according to established policies and procedures, this position collaborates with the HR staff/management to provide superior services to our customers. This position is responsible for retention and training internal and external customers on the onboarding process and other topics as needed. This position strives to deliver superior performance by consistently providing a product that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the mission, vision and values of Memorial Healthcare.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS

Inter-Relationships: Management, employees, and potential candidates (internal and external customers)
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates the onboarding process for Memorial Healthcare by:
- Assisting Human Resources Manager in determining new hire wage rates based on established procedures which includes reviewing the applicant current experience, educations and other relevant information; internal equity; prevailing market wages, etc.
- Ensures the completion of pre-hire paperwork and background/health screening including background checks, fingerprinting, primary source verification, etc. as required for each position
- Working with Occupational Health, Education and Information Systems to ensure new hires are eligible and able to attend orientation/training for their new positions.
- Closing requisitions on Hiring Manager
- Conduct data analysis on HR data as directed. Prepare reports, graphs, charts and statistics. Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups and research/report on any data discrepancies.
- Creates and updates job descriptions as needed.
- Assists in interpreting Memorial’s policies, procedures, standards, ethics, government regulations and laws.
- Assists in the communication and implementation of HR practices and procedures.
- Assists in identifying practices that are inconsistent with established policies, standards, regulations and laws to assure compliance and consistency. Works with HR management to resolve these issues.
- Assists with the compensation programs, practices and policies. Along with the HR manager, monitors salary equity and pay practices as identified by management. Assists in the communication of pay practices to employees and in resolving pay issues.
- May act as leader or participant in HR related committees, events or programs.
- Provides departmental support by answering employee questions, assisting during open enrollment, filling in for other team members, etc.
- Actively pursues information related to changes in laws and regulations as well as business trends in HR within and outside the healthcare industry in order to effectively serve HR customers.
- Consistently looks for ways to improve our internal communication, HR processes, and onboarding/retention strategies and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Assists in the planning and implementation of employee events such as the employee banquet.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or related field or two years of experience in Human Resources is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of one year of human resource experience is required.
- Administrative/clerical experience is required.
- Customer service experience is required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems is highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLS
- Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.
- Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach in all directions, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds.

- Proficiency using modern office, computer and telephone equipmentas used by Memorial Healthcare.
- Ability to learn new computer systems/programs in an efficient, timely manner.
