Plant Maintenance Technician in Dallas, Texas at Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc.

Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.Perform BASIC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintain equipment to the desired company performance standards.Interface, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipmentUtilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.Comply with all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties.

English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving are required.Must pass pre-employment testing and physical evaluation and be at least 18 years of age.

Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).Experience with conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.).Experience with gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts).Experience with hydraulic-high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, and troubleshooting).Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.).Review rating instructions.Experience with high-speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs).

PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred but not required.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair; or an equivalent combination of continued education and experience.Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with a full range of body motion.Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.Must be able to work in an office environment, extended periods in a cold, damp and hot environment.
