GENERAL DESCRIPTION	The Trimmer Operator will feed materials into or remove materials from machines or equipment that is automatic or tended by other workers.

POSITION DETAILS
FULL-TIME	40	HOURS PER WEEK

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION	• Feed materials into or remove materials from machines or equipment that is automatic or tended by other workers. • Inspect materials and products for defects, and to ensure conformance to specifications. • Record production and operational data, such as amount of materials processed. • Push dual control buttons and move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment. • Perform size checks when needed. • Identify and mark materials, products, and samples, following instructions. • Perform preshift inspections to ensure quality pruduction. • Must be attentive to ensure cross ups do not occur.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS	• Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed. • Commitment to safety. • Excellent attendance record. • Good communication skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to learn and adapt to change. • Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment. • Ability to work in noisy envirnoment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS	• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds. • Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures. • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time. • Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS	• High School Diploma or GED required.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS	Preferred Experience: • Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Basic computer skills. • Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing. • Experience troubleshooting equipment. • Sawmill experience preferred.
