About the Role
We are seeking an Intern to support our work in autonomous truck fleet, with a focus on repair & maintenance safety claim documentation, data analytics, and AI adoption. This internship is ideal for students interested in cutting-edge transportation technologies, safety process validation, and applying data-driven approaches to real-world engineering challenges.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and data scientists to help evaluate and strengthen safety claims for autonomous systems while leveraging modern analytics and AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in documenting safety claims for autonomous truck repair & maintenance processes
- Analyze operational and test data to support safety claim validation and performance insights
- Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings
- Support the application of AI/ML tools for trend detection, anomaly identification, and predictive insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and product)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of safety processes, methodologies, and documentation
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial, or related field)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, Excel, or similar)
- Interest in autonomous systems, safety engineering, or transportation technologies
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to safety standards or systems engineering concepts (e.g., FMEA, hazard analysis)
- Programming experience in Python or similar languages
- Interest in applying AI to real-world engineering problems
- Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicle operation and validation
- Exposure to real-world applications of data analytics and AI in engineering

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
