Accountabilities:

As a Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will support recruiting initiatives by identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with highly qualified technical professionals. You will contribute to sourcing strategies, talent pipeline development, and market intelligence efforts while partnering with internal stakeholders to improve hiring outcomes.

  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify engineering, environmental, planning, scientific, and technical professionals across various disciplines and experience levels.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, professional networks, niche job boards, referrals, social platforms, AI-powered tools, and other sourcing channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs for specialized roles.
  • Conduct candidate outreach campaigns, establish relationships with prospective candidates, and generate interest in available opportunities.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, candidate profiles, market conditions, and sourcing priorities.
  • Perform talent mapping and market research to identify relevant employers, competitor talent pools, workforce trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information, sourcing activity, and pipeline data within applicant tracking systems.
  • Support employer branding initiatives through networking, outreach campaigns, social engagement, and talent community development.
  • Track sourcing performance metrics and provide insights on candidate availability, engagement, and recruiting effectiveness.
  • Recommend new sourcing tools, strategies, and best practices to continuously improve talent acquisition efforts.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced talent sourcing professional with a strong ability to identify hard-to-find candidates, manage multiple recruiting projects, and communicate effectively with technical professionals and internal teams.

  • 5+ years of sourcing and recruiting experience, with proven success identifying and engaging engineering, environmental, planning, scientific, or other technical professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting passive candidates through targeted outreach and relationship-building strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and advanced sourcing methodologies.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to uncover qualified talent through multiple channels and professional networks.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience sourcing talent within engineering, environmental consulting, construction, planning, or technical professional services industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labor market trends, competitive talent landscapes, and specialized recruiting challenges.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create personalized outreach messages that drive candidate engagement.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously.
  • Curious, proactive, and resourceful mindset with a passion for connecting people with career opportunities.
  • Experience supporting recruiting teams in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments is preferred.
