As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that supports analytics, machine learning, and business growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable data products, improve platform capabilities, and establish best practices for data operations.
- Design and build end-to-end data architectures that unify product telemetry, customer lifecycle information, and revenue metrics into reliable data sources.
- Develop and maintain scalable real-time and batch data pipelines integrating multiple systems, including product usage, CRM, and billing platforms.
- Create standardized telemetry frameworks, define event tracking contracts, and address identity resolution challenges across different platforms.
- Build data foundations for machine learning initiatives, including feature pipelines, training datasets, and low-latency scoring infrastructure.
- Implement data reliability, governance, and quality frameworks, including monitoring, incident response, privacy controls, and self-service data modeling practices.
- Optimize data workflows, improve system performance, and ensure highly available production environments.
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver data solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and automation techniques to improve engineering efficiency and create reusable solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineering professional with a strong background in distributed systems, large-scale data platforms, and production-grade infrastructure. You should have a passion for building reliable systems, solving complex technical problems, and enabling teams through high-quality data solutions.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, or related software engineering roles.
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms in production environments with measurable business impact.
- Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL, with experience optimizing performance and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modeling best practices, including dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks.
- Experience integrating diverse data sources, including telemetry, CRM, billing, and product analytics systems.
- Familiarity with streaming systems and product analytics platforms in SaaS or product-led environments.
- Experience supporting machine learning workflows through feature stores, training pipelines, or real-time inference infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
