It offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on billing accuracy, customer experience, financial operations, and organizational efficiency.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end billing operations, including invoice generation, validation, reconciliation, and distribution in a high-volume, low-dollar transaction environment.

  • Manage, organize, and reconcile large data sets across multiple billing cycles while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strong controls.

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve billing processes and workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and error reduction.

  • Identify billing discrepancies, anomalies, and data-integrity issues and coordinate timely resolution.

  • Partner with Accounting to support accurate revenue recognition and month-end close activities.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure contracts, pricing, usage, and other relevant data are accurately reflected in billing.

  • Own and optimize billing-system configurations, automations, and integrations across CRM, ERP, and billing platforms.

  • Monitor and report on key billing performance indicators, including accuracy, cycle time, disputes, and DSO.

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Handle escalated customer billing questions and disputes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Support billing-related system upgrades, user acceptance testing (UAT), and process documentation.

  • Mentor and support team members while promoting consistent standards, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional billing experience within telecom, telecom expense management (TEM), or a closely related industry.

  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume billing operations involving low-dollar-value transactions.

  • Strong proficiency with billing and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce Billing, or comparable platforms.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large data sets, reconciliations, data validation, and complex billing analysis.

  • Proven ability to process, organize, audit, and validate significant volumes of data quickly and accurately.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Experience with SQL or other data-querying tools is a plus.

  • Familiarity with SaaS or subscription-based billing models is desirable.

  • Experience working in a software or technology company environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of telecom carrier billing structures, invoicing formats, or usage-based billing is an advantage.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and strong customer focus.

Benefits
  • $115,000–$135,000 annual compensation range.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Paid time off with an emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.

  • Full-time, exempt position.

  • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.

  • Opportunity to work in a technology-driven environment focused on financial management and enterprise IT operations.

  • Collaborative cross-functional environment with exposure to Accounting, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

  • Equal opportunity employment environment with consideration for qualified candidates regardless of legally protected characteristics.

  • Employment is subject to applicable background-check requirements and adherence to information security and privacy policies.
