Description:

Emergency Department Paramedic 1pm-1am

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Emergency Department Paramedic, where your skills and compassion will make a vital difference in patients' lives during their most critical moments. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to provide immediate medical care in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in the emergency room setting

- Assess patient conditions quickly and accurately to determine appropriate treatment

- Administer medications, perform advanced airway management, and utilize medical equipment as needed

- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

- Document patient information, treatments, and interventions thoroughly and accurately

- Respond to emergency situations within the hospital, including rapid response and code blue scenarios

- Maintain and ensure the readiness of medical supplies and equipment

- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and legal regulations

- Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in the emergency department setting, under the direction of the ED physician & protocols

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P) from an accredited program

- Current state licensure or registration as a Paramedic

- Proven experience in emergency medical services, preferably in a hospital setting

- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures, pharmacology, and medical equipment

- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

- Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stress situations

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely

- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required; additional certifications are a plus
