Job Description
Gray Hawk Land Solutions is currently hiring for immediate opening in the position of Title Abstractor in El Paso County, CO. The individuals we are looking for must be a self-starter and able to perform the below tasks with very little or no supervision. Minimum of (5) five years of experience in right-of-way title research.
Title Agent Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Pulling tax cards from courthouses and locating tax cards online to determine preliminary ownership of tracts/parcels.
- Locating source deeds and vesting deeds and comparing them to tax cards for discrepancies.
- Performing onsite and/or online research necessary for Vesting and/or Marketable Title.
- Assembling title files according to the protocols established by the Project.
- Posting and archiving title files according to Project procedures.
- The Title Abstractor is in constant communication with their supervisor over how their work is impacting the project scope, goals, and deliverables (Project Execution Plan).
- The Title Agent informs their supervisor over obstacles to accomplishing their tasks and works with their supervisor to devise strategies that will accomplish the Client’s objectives in obtaining survey permitting or acquisition.
- Be capable of working unsupervised in a variety of roles.
- Be well qualified in a specialized area such as Indian land title, government title, mortgages, liens, etc., if the individual is selected to work only in a limited area of special expertise.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a good understanding of mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, leases, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements as to legal description, ownership, restrictions, or conformity to other state requirements.
- Represents client and self with professionalism and integrity. Can relate to people from various backgrounds.
- Ability to navigate multiple client databases.
- Demonstrate excellent computer knowledge through effective use of software including Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and database use.
- Able to work well in a team environment or an individual role.
Pay Rate:
This position offers a competitive 6 day per week pay rate.
