Elgin - 4181 - Advanced Registered Behavior Technician

If you're an experienced RBT looking to expand your clinical skills and take on greater responsibility, the Advanced Registered Behavior Technician (ARBT) role offers an opportunity to make an even greater impact for children with autism and their families. In this role, you'll support treatment development, coach teammates, and collaborate closely with BCBAs to help drive meaningful outcomes

What You'll Do

As an ARBT, you'll work closely with a BCBA and other clinical team members to deliver high-quality ABA services and support individualized treatment goals.

You'll:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA to address behavioral goals and objectives.
  • Collect accurate behavior and outcome data, analyze results, and support informed treatment adjustments.
  • Assist with assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and collaborate on individualized treatment planning.
  • Train and coach team members on behavior intervention strategies, data collection methods, and reinforcement techniques.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including behavior data, progress records, session notes, and required reports, while converting time within 24 hours.
  • Respond to crisis situations using approved intervention techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of children and teammates.
  • Partner with BCBAs and other team members to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans and behavior strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities while maintaining BACB ethical standards and applicable state requirements.
  • Deliver treatment to clients for 85% of hours worked and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • RBT Certification, including completion of required training, competency assessment, and ongoing supervision requirements.
  • 12+ months of hands-on experience working with ABA clients.
  • Strong understanding of ABA programming and the ability to implement programming broadly and effectively.
  • Maintenance of successful CORES evaluations/assessments.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Ability to pass a clear and thorough background check.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, compassion, and patience when working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI and PII information.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting assessments, treatment planning, coaching teammates, and data analysis within an ABA setting.

Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands-on. You may work with children who exhibit physically aggressive behaviors, including kicking, pinching, punching, or biting, and you'll be expected to use approved behavior management techniques when appropriate. The position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. You must be able to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry up to 35 pounds, communicate clearly, and maintain regular and punctual attendance.

What You Get

  • Immediate Impact: Make a difference for children from day one.
  • Expert Guidance: Work alongside experienced BCBAs and clinical leaders.
  • Personal Progress: Access ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
