Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, installing, and securing furniture and fixtures in commercial spaces.
Job Duties:
- Remove and relocate office furniture, workstations, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, shelving, and related equipment.
- Disassemble existing modular furniture systems, cubicles, workstations, and office furniture.
- Assist with the decommissioning and clearing of office spaces.
- Remove carpet tile and other flooring materials as directed.
- Load furniture and equipment.
- Sort and stage furniture and materials for reuse, disposal, or installation.
- Receive, unload, stage, and distribute new furniture and project materials.
- Assemble and install office furniture, workstations, tables, shelving, cabinets, and related components.
- Reconfigure existing furniture systems based on project layouts and direction.
- Move furniture and equipment between offices, floors, storage areas, and project locations.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools to complete furniture assembly, disassembly, and installation.
- Work with project supervisors, facility personnel, furniture installers, and other trades.
- Follow project schedules and assist with completing areas according to established project deadlines.
This job's schedule will be from 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Requirements:- Previous experience in furniture installation, assembly, moving, construction, facilities or other related field preferred. Previous commercial office furniture or modular workstation installation experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow basic layouts, instructions, and installation plans.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver furniture and equipment.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving materials throughout the workday.
- Professional attitude and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
