Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, installing, and securing furniture and fixtures in commercial spaces.

Job Duties:

  • Remove and relocate office furniture, workstations, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, shelving, and related equipment.
  • Disassemble existing modular furniture systems, cubicles, workstations, and office furniture.
  • Assist with the decommissioning and clearing of office spaces.
  • Remove carpet tile and other flooring materials as directed.
  • Load furniture and equipment.
  • Sort and stage furniture and materials for reuse, disposal, or installation.
  • Receive, unload, stage, and distribute new furniture and project materials.
  • Assemble and install office furniture, workstations, tables, shelving, cabinets, and related components.
  • Reconfigure existing furniture systems based on project layouts and direction.
  • Move furniture and equipment between offices, floors, storage areas, and project locations.
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools to complete furniture assembly, disassembly, and installation.
  • Work with project supervisors, facility personnel, furniture installers, and other trades.
  • Follow project schedules and assist with completing areas according to established project deadlines.

This job's schedule will be from 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in furniture installation, assembly, moving, construction, facilities or other related field preferred. Previous commercial office furniture or modular workstation installation experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read and follow basic layouts, instructions, and installation plans.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver furniture and equipment.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving materials throughout the workday.
  • Professional attitude and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
