Job Description

Head of Demand Generation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Demand Generation based in United States.

This senior marketing leadership role is responsible for building and scaling a data-driven demand generation engine that directly contributes to pipeline and revenue growth.
You will own the full-funnel demand strategy across account-based marketing, digital channels, events, webinars, partner marketing, and inbound programs.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, giving you ownership of both the demand generation roadmap and the performance of individual campaigns.
You will lead and develop a team of specialist marketers while working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Content, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations.
Strong analytical thinking will be essential as you evaluate channel performance, attribution, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition costs, and return on marketing investment.
You will also build scalable systems, processes, and experimentation frameworks that continuously improve conversion and marketing efficiency.
This is an opportunity to shape a high-impact demand function within an innovative technology environment while having direct visibility with senior executives and the board.

Accountabilities:

The Head of Demand Generation will own the demand generation strategy, pipeline contribution, budget, and performance across the full marketing funnel, while leading a team of specialist marketers.

  • Own the demand generation strategy and establish targets for MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and other relevant outcomes by channel.
  • Build and execute an integrated, multi-channel demand plan spanning ABM, paid and organic digital, events, webinars, partner marketing, BDR programs, and other relevant channels.
  • Develop global and localized campaigns that move prospects through the buying journey from awareness to qualified opportunity.
  • Partner with Content and Product Marketing to define quarterly campaign strategies and coordinate weekly execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing specialists, establishing clear goals, accountability, feedback, and professional development plans.
  • Remain hands-on in demand generation activities, taking direct ownership of selected programs while the team and function scale.
  • Represent Marketing at relevant local and industry events and help maximize the value of in-person and virtual engagement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sales on lead handoff, lead scoring, service-level agreements, follow-up processes, and overall lead quality.
  • Own the demand generation budget and allocate spend across channels based on performance, expected return, and strategic priorities.
  • Present and defend marketing investment decisions to senior leadership using clear performance data.
  • Build trusted attribution and reporting frameworks covering multi-touch attribution, pipeline velocity, customer acquisition cost, channel performance, and segment-level outcomes.
  • Report demand generation performance, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership and the board.
  • Establish a structured experimentation culture, testing campaigns, channels, audiences, messaging, and approaches to improve efficiency and conversion.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to optimize the demand generation technology stack, including ABM, marketing automation, advertising, intent data, and CRM integrations.
  • Monitor emerging B2B demand generation trends and identify new channels, formats, and strategies that could strengthen performance.
  • Continuously evaluate what is generating pipeline, what is underperforming, and why, translating insights into decisive action.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines extensive B2B demand generation experience with strong people leadership, analytical capability, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to connect marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes.

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B demand generation with a demonstrated track record of delivering against pipeline and revenue targets.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including developing marketing specialists into strong, independent performers.
  • Experience marketing to the financial services industry is strongly preferred, particularly within financial crime, compliance, cybersecurity, or related technology markets.
  • Hands-on expertise across ABM, paid and organic digital marketing, field and virtual events, webinars, and partner marketing.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute campaigns that effectively move prospects through different stages of the buying funnel.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline quality and revenue impact, with a willingness to prioritize commercial outcomes over vanity metrics such as lead volume or website traffic.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable demand generation systems, processes, and operating models rather than focusing only on individual campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, including experience with attribution, funnel performance, pipeline velocity, and channel ROI.
  • Strong budget management and prioritization skills, with the ability to make informed decisions about marketing investment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting strategies, performance results, and recommendations to executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience partnering effectively with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations.
  • Leadership style focused on accountability, coaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Curiosity about emerging B2B marketing practices and a willingness to test and adopt new approaches based on evidence.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote position based in the United States.
  • Competitive salary of $135,000–$175,000.
  • Senior-level ownership of the demand generation strategy and pipeline contribution.
  • Opportunity to lead and scale a team of specialist marketers.
  • Direct exposure to senior executive leadership and board-level reporting.
  • Broad ownership across ABM, digital marketing, events, partner marketing, demand operations, and attribution.
  • Opportunity to build scalable marketing systems and processes with significant organizational impact.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with close partnership across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations.
  • Opportunity to work in an innovative technology environment focused on solving complex financial crime and fraud challenges.
  • Strong scope for professional growth through strategic ownership, team leadership, and exposure to multiple areas of B2B marketing.
