About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Electrician to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our engineering team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

• You'll inspect, install, repair and replace electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
• Periodically, you'll conduct safety testing on all electrical equipment and regularly test generators and batteries to ensure proper operation during an emergency.
• You'll complete documentation for inspections, safety checks, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• You'll work with other staff on projects as assigned and will be a part of the on-call rotation as required.
• Perform responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
• Use hospital systems and tools to document operations
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
• Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

What You Bring

• Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology field, Completion of BOCES Electrical Technology program, military equivalent: in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 3 years of experience in electrical construction and maintenance industry
• Appropriate field experience, demonstrated by an employment history of at least 3 years in the electrical construction and maintenance industry, or the military required
• Strong electrical background with emphasis on three-phase generation, distribution and control.
• A thorough knowledge of industrial electronics is required in order to perform troubleshooting and repair of sophisticated control systems
• Must have strong knowledge of NFPS codes and standards
• Knowledge of JCAHO codes and standards preferred
• Master-level electrician skills preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• A strong computer background is required for the programming and operation of sophisticated building automation systems
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, precision testing tools and equipment
• Must be able to read and understand building drawings, specifications, technical materials, and applicable codes and standards
