Software Engineer I

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer I based in the United States.

As a Software Engineer I, you will build and maintain software components supporting a sophisticated enterprise performance management platform.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from feature design and implementation through testing, code review, debugging, and maintenance.
The role offers exposure to modern Microsoft technologies, cloud-oriented architecture, APIs, data access, and contemporary web frameworks.
Working alongside senior engineers, Product, and Quality Assurance teams, you will deliver well-scoped features that meet functional, security, and quality expectations.
You will also leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while validating generated code for correctness, security, and architectural fit.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software components within enterprise software solutions.

  • Implement features using established design patterns, engineering standards, and best practices under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Contribute to user-interface development using modern frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, and WPF.

  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and supporting services.

  • Build clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with appropriate unit-test coverage.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, refactoring, testing, and documentation while reviewing generated output for correctness, security, and architectural alignment.

  • Participate in peer code reviews to strengthen code quality, consistency, and maintainability.

  • Assist with diagnosing, debugging, and resolving software defects across development and testing environments.

  • Collaborate with Product, QA, senior engineers, and other technical stakeholders to deliver features that meet functional and quality requirements.

  • Follow established software development lifecycle, security, compliance, and engineering procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and technical capabilities.

  • Take ownership of assigned features through the relevant stages of the software development lifecycle.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience.

  • Experience with object-oriented programming and the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including C#, .NET, and ASP.NET.

  • Basic experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, and WPF.

  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and other common data formats and markup languages.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals.

  • Experience using Git or comparable source-control systems.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and modern software development practices.

  • Ability to write and review unit tests to validate software functionality and reliability.

  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented design principles.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly in a continuously evolving technical environment.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate successfully within a team-oriented engineering environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, maintainable code.

  • Experience building enterprise or platform-oriented applications is preferred.

  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted or SaaS-based systems is a plus.

  • Exposure to automated testing practices is beneficial.

  • Azure Fundamentals knowledge or an entry-level Azure certification is an advantage.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Competitive annual base salary of $99,000–$128,500, depending on experience, skills, location, and other objective job-related factors.
