This role is focused on driving operational excellence and compliance within healthcare revenue management and ambulatory care environments.
The position plays a key role in improving patient billing and collections processes while supporting business office operations across multiple healthcare centers nationwide.
Working closely with operational teams and leadership stakeholders, the role combines process improvement, compliance oversight, training, and strategic operational support.
It also involves evaluating billing systems, supporting audits, and ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
The position offers significant exposure to healthcare operations, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration within a highly dynamic environment.
Frequent travel allows for direct engagement with operational teams and on-site process assessments across various facilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Establish and standardize patient billing and collections processes across assigned regions to improve operational consistency and performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare billing, collections, and revenue cycle management while supporting internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements related to billing operations, collections workflows, and system efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations impacting billing, collections, Medicare requirements, and HIPAA standards.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support timely and accurate billing and collections activities.
  • Conduct assessments of business office operations, billing systems, and operational processes while recommending enhancements where needed.
  • Train ambulatory surgery center teams on business office procedures, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Support HIPAA audits, chart audits, compliance initiatives, and required reporting activities across healthcare facilities.
  • Evaluate billing and collection systems related to potential acquisitions and provide operational recommendations and findings reports.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to support ongoing business improvements and identify new operational opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare billing and revenue cycle management experience.
  • Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations, collections practices, HIPAA compliance, and Medicare requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in fast-paced healthcare environments.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to influence and guide operational teams while maintaining professionalism and collaborative relationships.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% and support operational needs across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency in working independently while contributing effectively within team-oriented environments.
