This role is ideal for a detail-oriented supply chain systems professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and warehouse operations. You will support and optimize Warehouse Management System (WMS) environments that directly impact distribution performance and operational efficiency. The position involves hands-on troubleshooting, configuration management, and continuous system improvement across complex logistics workflows. You will collaborate closely with operations teams, technical stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve issues and enhance system performance. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer value. Your work will have a direct impact on supply chain reliability, accuracy, and scalability across multiple distribution sites.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of WMS environments supporting warehouse and distribution operations.
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related applications.
- Analyze, quantify, and escalate operational issues to ERP vendors and third-party providers when required.
- Manage WMS environments, including configuration changes and migration between systems.
- Maintain and enhance reporting solutions (e.g., SSRS, Crystal Reports) by modifying queries and building new reports.
- Administer WMS data such as users, locations, menus, picking logic, and warehouse zone configurations.
- Support system enhancements, customization, and ongoing optimization of customer WMS environments.
- Monitor and tune SQL performance, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Collaborate with operations teams to develop WMS super users and improve warehouse best practices.
You bring strong technical and analytical capabilities, combined with solid experience in warehouse systems or supply chain environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in WMS administration, supply chain systems, or similar operational environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload independently, and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Hands-on experience with SQL (intermediate to advanced), including queries and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as SSRS, Business Objects, or Cognos is a plus.
- Knowledge of WMS platforms and supply chain systems (e.g., Manhattan, SAP WM, Oracle WM, Infor, JDA).
- Understanding of RF scanning, barcode systems, and warehouse hardware is an advantage.
- Exposure to interface technologies (TCP/IP, XML, table-to-table integrations) is preferred.
