Description:

This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing the joint business between Murdoch’s and Ariat. The core responsibility of the role will be to maximize Ariat product In-Stock levels while maintaining ideal Inventory Turn Rate to drive additional sales for both companies. The Ariat Replenishment Analyst will leverage the power of data and tools to produce insights and opportunities to drive better inventory & sales performance. The ideal candidate will be diligent in the pursuit of joint business opportunities and strive towards maintaining superior inventory metrics.

This position is located at the Home Office in Bozeman, MT with the ability to work Hybrid after an initial training period.

As a Murdoch's Team Member, you will...

  • Plan and execute inventory management functions to include product fulfillment, forecasting and replenishment for Ariat Branded Product
  • The forecasting component will include a longer-term forecast of the joint business for both Murdoch’s and Ariat. Predicting future demand will be forecasting down to the SKU level.

Maximize productivity of inventory for the supplier at distribution centers and stores

  • Evaluate opportunities for replenishment levels for stores
  • Provide deep dive analysis on service level targets, in-stock and inventory turn targets
  • Require travel to Ariat facilities and Murdoch’s stores

Other Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Ariat
  • Supports new item entrance and exit strategies, analysis and execution
  • New Store Assortment Recommendations
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional teams to ensure inventory levels align with financial goals. The collaboration will involve process improvement and problem solving
  • Leverage data sets and tools to produce reports and conduct analysis at both the Ariat and item level
Requirements:

As a Murdochian, you must...

  • Evaluate lead times and put processes & procedures into place to ensure that Ariat product is always in-stock
  • Evaluate Sales & Weeks of Supply (WoS) of existing SKUs and determine appropriate forecasts, minimum order points, season codes, etc.
  • Support flyer in-stocks by reviewing advertising proofs for products under your responsibility and providing an extra focus on allowing for sales growth through a strong inventory position
  • Participate in Ariat vendor meetings as needed to provide replenishment related information/further partner with vendors for an efficient flow of goods
  • Maintain accurate on order quantities by following up on open orders and working with Ariat to adjust PO’s as needed
  • Resolve store requests for more or less inventory and execute on buyer requests.
  • Become an expert at Murdoch’s replenishment system & process
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and may perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in forecasting / replenishment, supply chain analysis, demand planning, logistics or transportation (Retail environment preferred)
  • Track Record of consistent performance and ability to influence cross functionally
  • Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Apparel and/or footwear background a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, business, statistics, related field (or equivalent experience)
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent office computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and preferred experience with replenishment/forecasting systems
  • Data Mining, proven experience in reporting systems
  • Sound understanding of supply chain principles
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Detail oriented with aptitude for retail math, logical analysis and creative problem solving
  • Self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with a strong sense of urgency & time management
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and ability to influence decisions to drive the business
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a close and effective working relationship with the team & vendors resulting in converting insights into results.
  • Ability to advance to a high level of understanding of our ERP system with regards to purchasing inventory
