Responsibilities
Full time, remote position. Must be located in Tampa, FL for occasional onsite meetings
Compensation: $22.50 per hour
The Account Support Representative serves as a key point of contact for healthcare providers and internal partners, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries related to billing, payments, pricing, and contract validations. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with providers via email, occasional outbound phone calls, and Salesforce cases (no inbound calls required).
- Receive and manage provider and internal partner requests, addressing inquiries related to payment status, pricing, and contract validations.
- Independently resolve routine issues or collaborate with cross-functional teams for more complex cases.
- Follow up on outstanding inquiries and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and retrieve documentation related to customer accounts, products, and service inquiries or issues.
- Accurately update Salesforce cases with detailed documentation of customer interactions, actions taken, and final resolution.
- Investigate and resolve billing, payment, and credit balance discrepancies.
- Read and interpret carrier Explanation of Remittance (EOR) documents.
- Analyze insurance payment postings and identify discrepancies, including open balances and credits.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Working knowledge of standard medical Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) practices.
- Experience with Worker Comp is preferred.
- Ability to interpret insurance remittance advice (EORs) and payment postings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tools & Systems: Salesforce (case management) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Various payer and insurance websites Additional.
- Requirements: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
