Job Description
American Community Bank & Trust (ACBT), the largest locally owned bank in McHenry County, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team! Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll help coordinate and execute marketing initiatives across the bank, supporting growth by stewarding brand recognition, storytelling, and campaign innovation.
In this role, you’ll assist with project and campaign management, support brand consistency across front-line business units, draft multi-channel content and visuals for internal and external audiences, and help coordinate event planning and execution. You’ll also support community engagement efforts, contribute to internal communication around brand guidelines, and track marketing KPIs while helping maintain required documentation and budget materials.

Requirements:The Marketing Coordinator's primary accountabilities include:
Project and Campaign Management
- Under the leadership of the Marketing Director, serve as a central coordinator of marketing requests, projects, and campaigns.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to align projects with priorities and support timely delivery.
Brand Stewardship
- Support brand awareness and engagement initiative across front-line business units.
- Help ensure marketing materials and initiatives align with brand standards.
Content Creation
- Draft multi-channel content, design visuals, and develop marketing materials for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure content complies with applicable regulations and aligns with the bank's culture and brand standards (including social media posts, website content, long-form articles, and videos).
Community Engagement
- Support promotion of the bank's community involvement program (Bankers Give Back).
- Participate in community engagement activities in the communities we serve.
Event Planning and Execution: Coordinate and execute internal and external events, assisting with timelines, logistics, and cross-functional communication.
Internal Communication & Workflow Support
- Assist in communicating brand guidelines and gathering internal feedback.
- Coordinate project workflows to guide stakeholders through intake, feedback, and execution for active campaigns.
Tracking, Documentation, and KPI Support
- Support the Marketing Director and leadership team with budget tracking and document retention.
- Track KPIs at weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals and retain supporting documentation according to bank guidelines, regulations, and marketing best practices.
Marketing & Brand Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields (or equivalent education/experience).
- Strong working knowledge of marketing and communications support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with graphic design and content creation tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating and managing social media and website content.
- Data analytics and reporting tools experience.
- Continuous learning mindset and adaptation to new software applications and technology platforms.
- Time management; deadline and detail-oriented, project coordination skills preferred.
- Banking knowledge that creates meaningful content a plus!
