This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Golang Engineer based in United States.

Join a highly technical engineering team building scalable cloud-native applications that power mission-critical services. This role is ideal for an experienced Golang developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving distributed systems, and working with modern cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with talented engineers to develop reliable, high-performance software while contributing to architecture, testing, and platform reliability. The environment encourages ownership, continuous learning, and engineering excellence through best practices such as Test Driven Development. If you thrive in remote, fast-paced teams and enjoy working with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize large-scale applications using Golang with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and code quality.
  • Contribute to complex existing codebases by implementing new features, refactoring components, and maintaining clean, maintainable software architecture.
  • Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies while creating comprehensive unit and integration tests using Golang testing frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot production environments by analyzing logs, profiling applications, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term reliability improvements.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize applications running on Kubernetes while working with containerized workloads and cluster resource management.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed microservices that support scalable, cloud-native applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software, improve observability, and enhance system reliability.
  • Monitor application performance using tools such as Prometheus while contributing to infrastructure stability and operational excellence.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvements across development processes and engineering standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with extensive expertise in Golang.
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, Kubernetes internals, Linux environments, and resource management concepts.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and scalable microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and experience working with production databases.
  • Hands-on experience using monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills within production environments.
  • Practical experience applying Test Driven Development (TDD), including frameworks such as Ginkgo and Gomega.
  • Familiarity with CI pipelines, automated build systems, monorepositories, and tools such as Bazel is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with Java or Python development is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote engineering team.
  • Availability to work Pacific Time business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST).
Benefits
  • Fully remote position.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies including Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, and distributed systems.
  • Flexible and collaborative remote engineering culture.
  • Exposure to large-scale production environments and technically challenging projects.
  • Continuous learning opportunities through collaboration with experienced software engineers.
  • Strong engineering culture focused on code quality, Test Driven Development, and best practices.
  • Opportunity to contribute to modern infrastructure, platform reliability, and scalable software solutions.
  • Career growth within an international and highly technical engineering organization.
