Job Description

BeVera Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Scientific Clearance Manager to lead and coordinate DGHT's scientific clearance program, managing project submissions through the DGHT Project Consultation Committee (DPCC) process and overseeing clearance tracking, reporting, and communications. This position will support services to ensure DGHT can rigorously conduct and cover the science-related functions for the division and for CDC’s PEPFAR program in the efficient and effective implementation and continuity of lifesaving HIV services; reviewing project plans or protocols, manuscripts, and abstracts for the validity of epidemiological methods; ensuring PEPFAR and global TB programs compliance with CDC data management, access, and transparency policy; and coordinating the review and approval of all programs scientific clearances.

NOTE: Position Contingent upon award of contract. This role is part of a pre-award candidate search for an upcoming federal government contract.

Requirements:
  • Maintain the shared clearance functional mailbox; conduct intake for all clearance actions across CDC eClearance and related DGHT systems.
  • Coordinate reviewer and final clearance approval actions in eReview systems; manage eReview users and triage inquiries.
  • Manage and coordinate project submissions to the DGHT Project Consultation Committee (DPCC), including submission review worksheets, DPCC meeting planning, and follow-up actions.
  • Track and monitor DGHT review projects and publication status; brief DGHT Science leadership on a periodic (weekly/biweekly) basis.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of Science Seminars and training sessions.
  • Perform records management duties per CDC policy; develop correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Assist with general meeting/visitor planning, time and attendance, travel, and property management duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, biological sciences, health administration, or a closely related field, combined with at least four years of progressively responsible experience in scientific clearance, research administration, scientific program management, or a related area. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience performing comparable clearance/program coordination duties.
  • Demonstrated superior multi-tasking and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders and external partners, including committee-level coordination.
  • Experience writing, reviewing, and editing internal and external program communications, including briefing and training materials.
  • Experience supporting scientific ethics activities; demonstrated knowledge of IRB processes and eClearance systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom meeting management.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to pass a NACI investigation and fingerprinting for CDC facility/system access; no PII/PHI will be encountered in this role.
  • This position requires a Full-time, 40-hour work week, excluding federal holidays and weekends; Telework-eligible
  • Experience working with/in the CDC
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
