Job Description
We are announcing an open position on our Production Control Support Team. This role plays a key part in keeping our build schedule, material flow, and production records accurate so every vehicle moves from the start of production to final assembly and shipping on time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Create, release, and close work orders in our ERP system, and keep the daily and weekly build schedule current
Check part availability against the schedule, flag shortages early, and work with Purchasing and Receiving to expedite parts
Prepare build packets and job travelers, and coordinate kit pulls so assembly never waits on parts
Record completed units, scrap, rework, and labor hours, and log vehicle and key component serial numbers for traceability
Support cycle counts and the annual physical inventory, and help reconcile variances
Produce daily production status, WIP, and on-time delivery reports
Serve as a point of contact for Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales on order status and priorities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or GED
1 to 3 years of experience in production control, inventory, materials, or shipping and receiving in a manufacturing setting
Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Plex, Dynamics, or similar)
Working skills in Excel and Office 365
Accurate data entry, strong organization, and the ability to handle shifting priorities calmly
Clear communication with both floor staff and office teams
Ability to stand and walk on the production floor and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
BONUS POINTS FOR
Associate degree or coursework in supply chain, operations, or business
Experience in vehicle, equipment, or assembly-line manufacturing
Familiarity with BOMs, routings, ECRs, and serial number or VIN traceability
APICS/ASCM CPIM certification, or working toward it
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is split between the office and the production floor of an active vehicle manufacturing plant, with forklifts, assembly lines, and welding operations nearby. PPE must be worn in designated areas.
Why CVG?
Join a growing electric vehicle manufacturer, where your work directly shapes how every vehicle gets built and delivered. You’ll gain hands-on experience across production, inventory, and supply chain, work alongside a supportive team, and have room to grow your career as we expand.
