Job Description
Goode Company Catering & Events is looking for experienced and motivated Grill Cooks, Fry Cooks, and Prep Cooks to join our growing culinary team.
Whether you're working the grill, managing the fry station, or preparing ingredients for large-scale events, you'll play a key role in delivering the quality food that Goode Company is known for. What You'll DoGrill & Fry Station Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items according to Goode Company recipes and specifications.
- Operate grill, fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper cooking temperatures, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Manage ticket flow and production needs during peak periods.
- Monitor product quality and ensure consistency throughout service.
- Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for daily production.
- Perform knife work, portioning, marinating, seasoning, and recipe preparation.
- Assist with food packaging and event production needs.
- Label, date, and properly store products following food safety standards.
- Support production for large-scale catering events and special functions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Assist with inventory rotation and kitchen organization.
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen leadership to meet production goals.
- Support event and catering food production as needed.
- Previous experience as a Grill Cook, Fry Cook, Prep Cook, Line Cook, Banquet Cook, or Catering Cook preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Team-first attitude and willingness to learn.
- Texas Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain.
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available based on business needs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work safely around hot surfaces, grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment.
