Parking Attendant in Coral Gables, Florida at Legacy Parking

POSITION SUMMARY

Legacy Parking is looking to add a Parking Attendant to one of our locations in Coral Gables! The ideal candidate can deliver the company’s standards of customer service with each parker transaction while answering customer questions, directing traffic, enforcing parking regulations, and maintaining the general upkeep of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Survey the garage while issuing citations/warnings to unauthorized parkers; perform vehicle counts, when required, to ensure the garage does not over fill available spaces.

• Greet arriving and departing customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Act as traffic controller to direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.

• Assist guests in operating pay machines.

• Control traffic at entrances and exits, as needed.

• Provide assistance to customers who may have forgotten where they parked.

• Use respectful communication to assist guests with questions, problems, or concerns.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.

• Other special projects as assigned by location management.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older.

• Ability to read and comprehend verbal instructions and written correspondence.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.

• Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with other employees and parking customers.

• Ability to provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

This position will receive an annual performance review from the direct supervisor to discuss actual performance as compared to company-stated expectations and agreed-upon, job-related performance goals for the upcoming year.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
