POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs basic mathematical calculations pertaining to the craft such as rolling offsets, cutback of fittings, and takeout between joints and other fits.
• Material estimates.
• Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other trades.
• Thread pipe using threading machine.
• Secure pipes to structure with bolt up, clamps, brackets and hangars using hand tools and machines.
• Test piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
• Reads and understands plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, erection manuals, and/or plans and makes decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualizes objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic understanding of rigging to move pipe into proper location.
• Maintains good housekeeping and a safe work area.
• Works safely, encourages others to do so, and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Abilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 pounds
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Minimum age 18+
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
