Chain Account Manager

This role is focused on driving strategic growth across key retail chain accounts within a highly competitive beverage industry. The Chain Account Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with buyers and decision-makers across multi-level retail organizations. They are responsible for executing tailored sales strategies, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives that increase distribution and revenue performance. This position plays a critical role in translating business objectives into actionable account plans that deliver measurable results. It requires close collaboration with internal sales leadership, distributors, and retail partners. The environment is fast-paced, commercially driven, and highly cross-functional, with strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and consistent field engagement. Success in this role directly impacts brand visibility, market penetration, and overall business performance across assigned key accounts.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with retail buyers, decision-makers, distributor chain teams, and key store-level contacts to ensure strong account engagement and execution.
  • Design, implement, and execute annual chain account business plans aligned with revenue, distribution, and profitability targets per customer.
  • Coordinate promotional activities, merchandising programs, advertising initiatives, and in-store execution opportunities to maximize sales performance.
  • Maintain a structured and consistent call schedule across assigned accounts, ensuring high visibility and responsiveness to partner needs.
  • Track, analyze, and report business performance, providing weekly updates and strategic insights to sales leadership.
  • Manage travel and entertainment (T&E) budget in alignment with company policies while optimizing field effectiveness.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, key account management, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office tools and experience working with syndicated and consumer data to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to think both strategically and tactically, translating business goals into actionable execution plans.
  • Experience interpreting sales reports, performance metrics, and business trends to support leadership decision-making.
  • High level of organizational discipline, accountability, and responsiveness in customer and internal communications.
  • Ability to perform in dynamic environments, including frequent travel (less than 25%) and physical field activity when required.
