In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of our installation projects, working closely with various stakeholders to deliver seamless service and support.
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the PM process for small to mid-size projects, working closely with the regional installation team, the contractor or owner, engineers, and architects to develop plans, establish timetables, and determine labor and material requirements and costs. They are also responsible for ensuring the project is completed on budget and within scope and assisting in the management of all other projects as needed by Senior Project Manager
Essential Responsibilities
- Manages the small to mid-size projects from start to finish
- Collaborates with Sales, Supply Chain and Logistics
- Manage project scope and changes
- Works with stakeholders to meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Prepares estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of a project
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Determines needed resources (manpower, storage and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Monitors and tracks all project related items including costs, material billings, installation billings, number of rooms in projects, number of systems shipped (at any point in time), and any other relevant facts related to open projects
- Responsible for communicating with Installation Manager on various topics including timing of installation of Guldmann products at customer facilities
- Ensures Guldmann sales personnel are providing the required documentation such as costing sheets and that such sheets provided are filled out accurately and completely
- Enters project purchase orders timely and accurately
- Tracks and updates project costs in the M3 ERP system project management module
- Work with Project Manager and Director of Project Management on all aspects of projects as needed
- Manage and/or assign project tasks to Project Coordinator and Project Administrator
- Involved in the processing contract change orders and purchase orders
- Train and onboard new hires on Project Management Processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·Bachelor's degree and previous construction project management experience
· Must be structured, organized and process oriented
· Proven experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
· Excellent attention to detail
· Great time management skills
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, project management software and ERP systems
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work independently, having strong analytical skills and communicating clearly in oral and written terms is required
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10-25 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
