Shipping & Receiving Handler in Aurora, Colorado at Specialized Packaging Group

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Handler to join our warehouse or logistics team. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, maintaining inventory records, and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments in accordance with shipping guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Label, sort, store, and prepare all inventory for orders.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts.
• Communicate with carriers and vendors regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and report stock discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

• Primarily warehouse setting.
• May involve extended periods of standing, lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
• May require overtime or weekend work during peak periods.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
• Other duties as assigned by plant management.
