Pay: $16.32/hour | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About the Role
Do you enjoy keeping things organized, supporting teams, and helping programs run successfully behind the scenes? Meridian Healthcare is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Access & Screening and department programs.
In this role, you will help coordinate meetings, trainings, events, travel, supplies, and program activities while supporting grant data management and reporting requirements. As an essential member of the team, you will help ensure programs operate efficiently and continue advancing Meridian's mission of promoting health, recovery, and well-being throughout the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Access & Screening.
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, events, travel arrangements, and departmental activities.
- Prepare meeting spaces, agendas, materials, and documentation.
- Attend meetings and record meeting notes as needed.
- Serve as the department's office coordinator, including ordering supplies and coordinating service providers.
- Process purchase orders and assist with departmental purchasing needs.
- Maintain grant-related data and program records.
- Complete data entry and reporting requirements for assigned programs.
- Support the Community Action Team (CAT) by ensuring data and required documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Experience in administrative support, office coordination, or related work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with data entry, reporting, record management, and scheduling.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
Driver Requirements
A valid Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. Travel between Meridian locations may occasionally be necessary for meetings, training, and departmental support.
Center Driver Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
- Must meet Meridian Healthcare insurance requirements.
- No more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the past three years.
- No major driving violations within the past five years.
- Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Employees should utilize a Center vehicle when available. Personal vehicle use requires prior attempts to secure a Center vehicle.
- Drivers age 65 and older with a CDL must provide current medical clearance indicating no driving restrictions.
