This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Compliance Analyst - KYB based in India.
This is a remote compliance opportunity focused on Know Your Business (KYB), corporate onboarding, and financial crime risk management.
You’ll serve as a subject matter expert for complex corporate onboarding cases and help ensure robust compliance standards across business operations.
The role combines customer risk assessment, enhanced due diligence, quality assurance, and regulatory monitoring in a fast-paced global environment.
You’ll work closely with compliance leaders, MLROs, account managers, VIP teams, and other stakeholders to resolve complex cases and strengthen controls.
There is significant scope to identify process gaps, improve procedures, and lead special compliance projects and reviews.
The position is well suited to an experienced compliance professional who is highly organized, analytical, and confident handling sensitive regulatory matters.
Exposure to virtual-asset regulations and AML/CFT frameworks provides an opportunity to contribute to compliance within an evolving financial ecosystem.
- Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for complex corporate onboarding and KYB cases.
- Conduct and support customer risk assessments, periodic reviews, trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence activities.
- Review corporate structures and assess customer profiles against applicable compliance requirements and risk indicators.
- Identify, investigate, and document unusual activity, AML flags, and other potential compliance concerns.
- Work closely with team leads and managers on ongoing compliance assessments, reviews, and ad hoc investigations.
- Perform quality assurance checks and support regional teams in maintaining consistent compliance standards.
- Lead or contribute to special assignments, compliance projects, and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance procedures, workflows, and operational controls.
- Collaborate with MLROs, account managers, VIP teams, and other internal stakeholders on complex compliance matters.
- Use compliance screening and risk-management applications, including tools such as World-Check, to support investigations and customer assessments.
- Monitor relevant local laws, regulations, directives, and industry standards applicable to regulated entities and customers.
- Maintain awareness of emerging virtual-asset and cryptocurrency regulatory requirements and assess their potential operational impact.
- Participate in internal and external training programs covering AML/CFT, compliance, and other relevant areas.
- At least 3 years of directly relevant professional experience in compliance, with strong knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and day-to-day compliance operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with corporate onboarding and familiarity with different corporate structures and entity types.
- Solid understanding of KYB, AML/CFT, customer risk assessments, periodic and trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
- Experience identifying, investigating, and documenting AML indicators, unusual activity, and potential financial crime risks.
- Proficiency with compliance screening and investigation platforms such as World-Check or comparable solutions.
- Knowledge of local laws, regulatory directives, and compliance standards relevant to corporate customers and regulated businesses.
- Familiarity with emerging virtual-asset, cryptocurrency, or digital-asset regulations is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment when handling sensitive cases.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured compliance documentation.
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases, reviews, and priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal communication and stakeholder-management skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex assignments, and confidently escalate issues when appropriate.
- ACAMS certification is desirable.
